| It was unbelievable the state that these magnificent medallions were left in the before pictures above. We used rods, carved filler, topped with plaster After carving and fitting... The red mottled sky had to be painted back as well as the deep blue almost black ceiling with 3" gold borders and 1 ' lavendar gray inside border. Finally the medallions final makeover . . . painted to blend like nothing happened. |
| All of the medallions seemed to be attached to the ceiling by heavy gauge wire. Above these medallion in the attic where you can walk around you can see the large anchor bolts used to hold these very heavy plaster pieces of art. |
